The Dirndl and Breast Patch portraits were created as a tribute to the famous Swiss painter Josef Reinhard. He was known as a painter of traditional costumes and began his career in 1770.
Both women wear original pieces of Lucerne traditional costumes. Because of the sensitivity of the fabrics, the photographs had to be taken with the greatest care. We thank the Lucerne Historical Museum for their trust.
