THE LADY OF LUZERN

Purchase

Description

“The Lady of Luzern” draws inspiration from the artist’s original concept of creating a nobleman and woman, though only the female figure emerged. Based on a woman born in Lucerne, the piece conveys a regal presence that is then deconstructed and reimagined. The artist disfigures and reassembles her form, ultimately presenting her as a bust, symbolising longevity and reverence. This artistic process reflects both the destruction and reconstruction of identity, inviting viewers to look up to the character with a sense of timelessness and intrigue.
