Bugs Bunny in the Blue Rabbit Tales – Exhibition

Artist: Stefan Bucher-Twerenbold

We are thrilled to announce that Stefan Bucher-Twerenbold is the next artist to develop an exhibition within the ART1a Konzeptkunst Atelier!

Stefan Bucher-Twerenbold (b. 1967, Lucerne) is a Nebikon-based multidisciplinary artist known for his self-taught mastery in painting, sculptural works, and large-scale installations. His practice explores the intersection of visual and physical forms, capturing expressive narratives that have been showcased internationally from the Kunstmuseum Luzern to the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts.

Blending experimental installations with sequential storytelling, Bucher-Twerenbold allows objects to become part of a diverse artistic range that spans from editorial contributions to public art commissions. His work reflects a unique perspective on visual transformation, resulting in compositions that bridge the gap between traditional fine art and contemporary comic culture.

His new exhibition, Bugs Bunny in the Blue Rabbit Tales, opens as part of the Fumetto Comic Festival at ART1a Konzeptkunst Atelier. We are excited to see how he brings his distinctive multidisciplinary vision into the ART1a space!

The vernissage will take place on Sunday, 8 March 2026, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at ART1a Konzeptkunst Atelier.

The exhibition will be open from 7 March to 26 March 2026 during the following hours:

Stefan Bucher-Twerenbold (b. 1967, Lucerne) is a Nebikon-based multidisciplinary artist known for exploring the intersection of visual and physical forms through painting and sculptural works. His work reflects a self-taught mastery of narrative, portraying both the experimental energy of large-scale installations and the precise storytelling inherent in sequential art.

Bucher-Twerenbold’s practice often plays with symbolic transformation and associative richness: figures shift through editorial narratives, objects become parts of immersive wonderlands, and forms echo diverse influences spanning from fine art to the Fumetto International Comic Festival. His work combines a wide artistic range with emotional resonance, producing compositions of strong internal cohesion across both public and private spheres.

Among his notable achievements is his recurring presence at the Kunstmuseum Luzern and the Kyrgyz National Museum of Fine Arts. His monumental “Baba Yaga Wonderland” installations and contributions to publications like Milk + Vodka have drawn attention from the international art world, contributing significantly to the cultural dialogue within the Swiss art scene.
