Art1a is a place that served as a studio for the painter Josef Reinhard, who lived and worked right here. He left us a great number of paintings showing the life and traditions of the “normal” people. As well as portraits of the influential individuals that shaped life over 2 centuries ago. A retrospective in collaboration with the Museum of Luzern and Bern. Young art professionals will show their thoughts in today’s context.

Ivan Klapez (b. 1961, Sinj, Croatia) is a London-based figurative sculptor known for exploring the expressive power of materials and the architecture of form. His work reflects the human will to exist and create—capturing both struggle and dignity through figures, metaphors, and monumental structures.
Tom's vibrant and multidisciplinary work has devotees in the USA, London, and Portugal. His residency at ART1a is an opportunity for the Swiss audience to immerse themselves in his visionary art.
