Wanda Dufner

Born in 1992 in Zurich, Wanda Dufner is an illustrator, comic artist, and visual storyteller based in Fischbach-Göslikon. After studying Illustration Fiction at HSLU, she has established herself as a distinctive voice in contemporary illustration, working across editorial projects, book illustrations, children’s books, comics, and prints.
Her works have been showcased in numerous exhibitions in Switzerland and abroad, capturing audiences with her bold use of colour and expressive narratives. In 2021, Wanda received the Comic Scholarship of the German-speaking Swiss Cities for her debut comic published by Edition Moderne. In 2023, she was nominated for the Comic Book Prize of the Berthold Leibinger Foundation in Stuttgart.


Wanda’s illustrations are deeply rooted in human stories, exploring themes of identity, autonomy, and societal expectations. Whether through her editorial illustrations, comics, or children’s books, she challenges conventions while celebrating the power of visual storytelling.
Based in her studio at Wisa Gloria in Lenzburg, she continues experimenting with new techniques and approaches, constantly pushing the boundaries of her medium.
