About the authors:
Gabriela Blumer Kamp – grew up in Denmark, studied art history, ethnology and comparative religion in Lausanne and Geneva, and worked for „Ente Touristico“ in Ticino from 1995-1998 while working on a PHD dissertation on the subject of the phenomenon of the „Madonna della Misericordia“ in Christian iconography.
Ladina Durisch (born 1972 in Zürich) grew up in a family with a strong affinity for culture. At the tender age of six years, she already developed a passion for oil painting and is supported by her expert mother.
After many years in which commissioned works were at the center of her work, she decided to take artistic freedom and set out on her own path. Inspired by Impressionism, she continued to develop the theme of „water reflections”: in the beginning, she felt completely committed to figurative representation, but gradually abandoned it and came closer and closer to abstraction. The pictured subject also shifts completely to the actual reflection of details by the water surface.
