The end of the Known World
The End of the Known World is a limited edition handmade book-object produced in Milan by Paolo Nava. It gathers the recent work of the artist and includes texts in English by the American filmmaker Elias Merhige and dr Christopher Skelton-Foord.
The book was published in a numbered edition of 700 copies signed by the artist. It was printed on Fedrigoni Century Cotton Wove and features original aquatint endpapers in two colours.

Fernando Leal Audirac (born 16 November 1958 in Mexico City, Mexico) is an international visual artist, painter, sculptor, etcher and designer currently living in Milan. He is acknowledged as one of the maximum experts in historical painting techniques like fresco, encaustics, egg tempera and oil; he recovers within a contemporary view, oriented to express the essence of painterly languages.
E. Elias Merhige (born in 1964 in Brooklyn, New York, USA) is a director and writer, known for Shadow of the Vampire (2000), Begotten (1989) and Suspect Zero (2004).
